Influence of e-learning apps and online platforms in science learning

Image
Science education imparts a method of inquiry and a systematic way of processing knowledge about the physical world to the learners. But in the present scenario, face to face classroom situations are not possible in many occasions the role of e-learning apps and online platforms came to force. Along with school education, utilising e-platforms helps the students to get a chance to uplift their skills, gain knowledge and develop their abilities. The platform also provides access to recent trends and developments, access to updated contents and bring education right to home and saves time. The learners have the option to study at their comfortable time and repeat lessons at any time but it posses many disadvantages  apart from its advantages.  As a part of the B.Ed curriculum, a study was conducted on the influence of e-learning apps and online platforms in science learning. Memorable experiences as a Teacher

Image
As a part of the B.Ed curriculum, I joined SNDP HSS Karamvely for the four month school internship program. It commenced from November 17, 2021  and continued till March 19, 2022. I was assigned to take classes to students of class 8A and 9A, malayalam medium. I had to teach the chapters magnetism, reflection through spherical mirrors, sound and static electricity to students of class 8A and non-metals, acids, bases and salts and world of carbon to students of class 9A.  I had already completed the school induction program in same school. But I had no live class experiences and took the classes via Google meet due to covid-19 pandemic. Since I had no real class experience I felt little nervous about the first day of school internship program.  Before going to school we collected the portions and divided the portions into 50 lessons for preparing lesson plans. More Cyclones in the Western Coast of India: An Impact of Global Warming

Image
Global Warming   is the slow increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere because an increased amount of energy striking the Earth from the Sun is being trapped in the atmosphere and not radiated out into space. The naturally occurring Greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and water vapour keep ground temperature at a global average of 15 degree Celsius. Without this natural blanket, Earth's surface would be about 30 degree Celsius colder than it is today, making the planet a freezing, barren, life less place. The Greenhouse gases keep the surface warm because as the incoming solar radiation strikes the Earth, the surface gives off infrared radiation that the gases temporarily trap and keep near ground level. But now, the Greenhouse gases are present in excess in the Earth's atmosphere due to human activities and thus trapping more heat and making the atmosphere more and more warm day by day. Since   the pre-industrial period, ...
